Crucial is Micron’s consumer brand, which means its SSDs ship with first-party Micron NAND — a real advantage for supply and consistency. The lineup spans the Gen 5 T710, Gen 4 T500 and P310, and the long-running MX500 SATA. Cheapest Crucial here is the Crucial MX500 2TB at $70.00/TB.
The T710 is Crucial’s flagship at up to 14,900 MB/s reads, competing with the WD Black SN8100 and Samsung 9100 Pro. The T500 remains the smarter buy for most: 7,300 MB/s is plenty for gaming and it costs far less per TB. See all Gen 5 drives to compare.
The P310 is a compact value Gen 4 NVMe (QLC) that frequently lands among the cheapest 1TB NVMe options. The MX500 is one of the best-value SATA SSDs for upgrading older laptops and desktops.
Not for consumers as of June 2026 — Crucial’s NVMe lineup tops out at 4TB (T500 4TB, T710 4TB). If you specifically need 8TB, the options are Samsung 9100 Pro 8TB and WD Black SN850X 8TB. For 4TB value, the Crucial T500 4TB is one of the cheapest TLC drives at that capacity.
